  • They use an inquiry-based curriculum with monthly thematic units. Activities include: theater / movie days every other week, gardening (Hoop House garden), creative arts workshops, physical activity “Fitness Fridays,” yoga & fitness, etc.

  • 2:30p - 6:00p on regular school days; 11:30a - 6:00p on early release days; 6:30a - 6:00p on no school days.

  • Busing from schools on regular and early release days.

  • After-school snack provided. On “no school” days, breakfast, lunch, and snack. On early release, lunch and snack.

• Description:

  • Provides a safe, supervised space where kids are encouraged to learn, play, and socialize in the after-school hours.

  • The program offers a variety of activities, including arts and science projects, organized gym games, physical activities such as ice skating and swimming, and also provides a healthy snack each day.

  • Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 3:00-5:30pm, on all days that ACSD #1 is in session. Students from Laramie elementary schools are bused by ACSD Transportation to the Laramie Community Recreation Center, 920 Boulder Drive.

  • Serves Kindergarten–6th grade and preschool students.

  • Hours of operation:

    • K–6: 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday (plus Friday care options).

    • Preschool: 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. on full school days.

  • Costs and fees:

    • Preschool: monthly, weekly, or drop-in rate options.

    • K–6 Friday care: daily fee ($15/day)

  • Free option: K–6 after-school program is free for qualifying students through a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

  • Limitations: No after-school care provided on half-days or when school is not in session.

  • We offer free afterschool programs for elementary students at Linford, Slade, and Spring Creek Elementary. These programs, called SOAR, run Monday–Thursday from 3:00–5:45 PM.

    Note: We do not run programs on half days or days when school is closed. Our schedule usually runs from mid-September to early May and may not match the school district calendar exactly.
